Hidden River Resort
…A Nudist Residential Enclave….
HIDDEN RIVER RESORT , a beautiful 88 acre nature park on the St. Marys River, west of
Jacksonville, Fla., is expanding to accommodate anyone who is contemplating a move to a resort as a
permanent or seasonal resident. Sites are spacious and wooded. If you are bored with concrete,
karaoke, and the same old jokes at the bar, please take a look at us. The lifestyle we have created ,
however, is not for everyone….
No high rises, concrete, bar or restaurant. Instead we are offering…
FREEDOM …to take your dog on a run to the river for a swim or cavort with other pets in the large dog park. Owner Billie has worked closely with a Golden Retriever rescue for years and has several dogs of her own. Consequently, there is a secure, fenced, dog park for exercise, ball throwing and socializing your pets. For anyone interested, Billie is happy to share what she has learned about natural and holistic care and feeding. She has some recipes for itchy skin, hot spots and various other ailments. Organic Apple Cider vinegar and honey ? Daily dose will help keep your dog in great shape. Hippocrates, the father of medicine said so! Dog obedience courses will be conducted at intervals.
HORSE PASTURES for grazing your horse will be available. These will be built with assistance from the owners. There are many trails within and also unpaved county roads for riding. Osceola National Forest is nearby.
A COMMUNITY GARDEN– we encourage you to get your hands dirty – hopefully there will be some green thumbs who visit and decide to stay to seed, feed and weed. There will be raised herb beds with a budding herbalist in residence. Nothing like picking tomatoes, squash and green beans for supper tonight. Basil and thyme for the spaghetti sauce …maintained by and for the residents.
A PAR COURSE is being built with exercises at prescribed intervals along the way to stay toned
(community project) Walking / bicycling trails provide a welcome respite – 88 acres of woods and trails to wander – sit on a low hanging oak limb and watch the river go by. You can also gather firewood for the fire pit…. we appreciate your input and expertise on any project underway – as long as you have a tool in your hand!
ACTIVITIES like petanque, horseshoes, frisbee golf, volleyball, pool……and there are 4 seasons at Hidden River – so hang on to your down jacket and gloves.
A LARGE OPEN PAVILLION for outdoor gatherings with a summer kitchen. Full bathhouse, shaded swings,
everything we can think of for your creative leisure.
THE SOCIAL CENTER has a kitchen for supper get-togethers, music, books, television, board games,
cards, etc., or one can sit (rock) on the large deck under oak trees and watch the world go by – bird
watching optional. Maybe you will find time to learn to quilt , whittle or any other ’round tuits in your
memory bank. 2 guest bedrooms are available for overnight guests. (for members and residents)
